Wardi: SLC threatens IS MPs to change their stance concerning government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Liqa Wardi, of Iraqiya Slate accused “The State of Law Coalition of threatening the MPs of the IS to change their stance concerning withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “SLC creates corruption cases to threaten IS MPs to pressurize them to avoid supporting the attempt of withdrawing confidence from Maliki.”

“Some political blocs started to go in harmony with the policies of the SLC like the White bloc which was a part of the IS and now it away form the national project of the IS,” she concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called Maliki to resign to solve the crisis.

The spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
