Mayahi: White bloc not to attend session for withdrawing confidence from Maliki
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of the White bloc confirmed that “His bloc will not attend the exceptional parliament session for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”
He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “White bloc becomes convinced that Nijaifi started to working according to a strategy clearly set by the Iraqiya Slate against Maliki.”
“The White bloc will not attend the parliament session for toppling the government to avoid participating in committing a crime against the Iraqi people and their democratic experiment,” he concluded.
Some media outlets mentioned that Nijaifi is about to call for holding exceptional session for the parliament for withdrawing confidence from Maliki.
Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called Maliki to resign to solve the crisis.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
