White bloc calls to expose names of MPs support withdrawing confidence from Maliki
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc called to “Expose the names of the MPs who signed the request for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in response to public calls in this respect.”
A statement by the bloc received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “The names should be presented to the public through the media outlets.”
“There are doubts over some signatures of certain MPs sent to the President, Jalal Talabani,” the statement added.
“The current stage needs reformations to enhance the services presented to the Iraqis rather than the issue of withdrawing confidence from the government,” the statement concluded.
Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called Maliki to resign to solve the crisis.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
