Attempt for withdrawing confidence from Maliki failed, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Nada al-Sodani, of the State of Law Coalition pointed out “The attempt for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, was failed because the political sides did not get the required number of MPs to accomplish this task.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “The political blocs called for withdrawing confidence forged MPs’ signatures and threatened some others to support their attempt.”

“Maliki is confronting a foreign project,” she noted.

“The political blocs will create a new crisis to hurdle the government and to keep the country paralyzed,” she concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called Maliki to resign to solve the crisis.

The spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
