Witwit denies supporting withdrawing confidence from Maliki
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP, Iskandar Witwit, denied signing the request for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “I did not sign the request which presented to the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, because the current stage witnesses great challenges.”
He called “The political sides to adopt the dialogues and to avoid the tensed statements.”
Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called Maliki to resign to solve the crisis.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
