URGENT – – Talabani forms committee to check validity of MPs’ signatures

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The office of the President, Jalal Talabani, announced that “Talabani ordered to from a committee to investigate the messages that he received signed from MPs who request withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

A statement by Talabani’s office received by Iraqi News Agencies (IraqiNews.com) cited “Talabani received messages signed from MPs who asked for withdrawing confidence from Maliki.”

“Talabani instructed to form a committee headed by the head of his office, Nizar Mohamed, to check the messages and to count them to avoid any doubts over their validity and to ensure safe constitutional process,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, Maliki requested Talabani to check the validity of MPs’ signatures on these messages presented to him.
