Maliki condemns car bombing targets Shiite Endowment in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, condemned “The attack that targeted the Shiite Endowment Department in Baghdad that resulted in killing and injuring dozens of civilians.”

A statement by Maliki’s office cited “We condemn this terrorist attack which aims at arousing the sectarian violence among the Iraqis,” noting that “Attacking the Sunni Endowment subsequently proves that this bombing aims at creating sedition.”

Maliki called the citizens to be “aware of these plots and to avoid sectarianism for the sake of stability and unity.”

Earlier, a car bomb exploded targeting the Shiite Endowment Department in Bab al-Mudham area of northren Baghdad on Monday, killing and injuring dozens of civilians.
