Musawi withdraws from Amal al-Rafidain bloc

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) Abbas al-Musawi, the first Deputy Governor of Karbala province and head of Amal al-Rafidain bloc withdrew from the bloc on Monday.

A source from the bloc said to IraqiNews.com “Musawi, who headed the bloc, withdrew from it because the bloc rejected withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”

Earlier, Amal al-Rafidain bloc announced its refusal for the attempts of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

A statement by the bloc received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “In the light of the current political debates, controlled by internal or foreign sides, we announce our rejection for the efforts exerted for withdrawing confidence from Maliki as we reject the calls for dividing Iraq for political aims.”
