Sadrist MP: Sadr’s call to conduct referendum aims at settling crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hassan al-Jouburi, of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend stated that the call of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr to conduct referendum over withdrawing confidence from the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, aims to settle the political crisis.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The referendum includes several conditions such as the participation of all the sects of the Iraqi people and the approval of all the political blocs in addition to the support of the Army and Police forces.”

“If the political sides agreed upon these conditions, the referendum will settle the crisis,” he concluded.
