3 health centers set up in Missan
MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Three health centers have been set up in eastern Missan at a cost of nearly $850,000, the head of a local council said on Saturday. “On Saturday, a local company completed work on three health centers in al-Mashrah district (30 km east of Amara city),” Abdelwahed Khalaf Jabbar told IraqiNews.com. The completion period of the projects was six months, Jabbar noted, adding that they were financed through the local development projects budget. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SS (P) 1
