Araji urges Sadr to call for dissolving three Presidencies, conducting early elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Zuhair al-Araji, of the Iraqiya Slate urged the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to adopt “A proposal for dissolving the three Presidencies and conducting early elections,” assuring that “The political crisis reached a blocked road.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Sadr’s role will be positive if he calls to dissolve the three Presidencies and the parliament in addition to conducting early elections to reform the State,” noting that “All sides participate in the political process thence Maliki is not the only person responsible for what is going on currently.”

“The political crisis reached a blocked road after a series of meeting conducted in Najaf and Erbil provinces,” he concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, revealed that he promised the political blocs if they managed to gather 124 MPs supporting withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, he will complete them to become 164 MPs.
