Sadrist MP: No need for attending INA meetings any more
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jawad al-Jobouri, of the Ahrar bloc pointed out “I think Ahrar bloc does not need to attend the meetings of the Iraqi National Alliance any more especially after the refusal of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, for the invitation of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to visit him in Najaf province.”
He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Such meetings became useless because the political blocs managed to gather the required signatures for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.”
“The mechanism for withdrawing the confidence is to submit a request by the President, Jalal Talabani, to the parliament to hold an exceptional session in the next days or normal session after the end of the parliamentary holiday to vote over this issue,” he explained.
He expected “Holding an exceptional session to withdraw confidence from Maliki.”
Earlier, the Iraqi National Alliance confirmed that the national meeting will result in settling the political crisis, calling “The political sides to conduct a responsible dialogue,” after its meeting held on last Friday night.
The Sadr Trend was represented in the meeting by MPs, Ameer al-Kinani, Jawad al-Shihili and Ali al-Timimi, only during the meeting.
