Duri describes Kurds’ concern over arming Federal army as Unjustified

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Etab al-Duri, of the Iraqiya Slate considered the concerns of Kurdistan Region over arming the Federal army as “Unjustified”.

In a press statement, she stated “The idea of Kurdistan Region to keep the Federal army weak is very dangerous because it is directly affects the sovereignty of the State.”

She called the government to “Supply the army with the international developed weapons in addition to set the good training programs that enable it to face the foreign challenges.”

She expressed surprise for “The attempts that wish to keep the army powerless, whereas the Kurdish Peshmerga elements are equipped with the best weapons.”
