Urgent – Hakim meets Sadr in Najaf

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, met the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr in Najaf province.

The reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) stated “Hakim visited Sadr at his residence to discuss the latest updates of the political process.”

“Hakim is accompanied by Mohsin al-Hakim and MP, Abdul Hussein Abtan, of the Citizen bloc,” he added.

Hakim has arrived in Najaf on Saturday and met some religious authorities then he visited the shrine of the Former Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Mohammed Baqer al-Hakim for the anniversary of his death.

Hakim visited Sadr after the end of the week period that was set as a time limit to the government by the attendants of Najaf meeting.

The political leaders held a meeting at the residence of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to discuss the political crisis after the end of the set time to Maliki to respond to the letter of Erbil meeting.
