Allawi: Iraq confronts division to take its role in international community

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqiya Slate confirmed “Iraq is confronting the attempts to divide it to take its role in the international community.

During the ceremony which is held in Hakim’s office on the occasion of the Iraqi Martyr Day, which coincided with the anniversary of the Mohamed Baqir al-Hakim and Abdul Aziz al-Hakim’s martyrdom, on Saturday, Allawi assured in his speech, which was recited by Adnan al-Danbous, on behalf of him “Iraq is going out of the control of the one party to a stage of civilization and progress.”

“Both Mohamed Baqir al-Hakim and Abdul Aziz al-Hakim were against the attempts to divide Iraq,” he added.

“The citizen bloc focused on serving the citizens as a base for the political reformation,” he mentioned, stressing that “We are here expressing our high respect to the great martyrs of Iraq.”

“On this occasion, we remind ourselves of the great sacrifice made by the humanity to achieve freedom and dignity,” he concluded.
