MP underestimates Najaf meeting importance

MP describes Najaf meeting as Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Salman al-Musawi, of the State of Law Coalition underestimated the importance of Najaf meeting describing it as “A joke.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Najaf meeting was unlike Erbil meeting in being consultative.”

“Specifying a period for the Iraqi National Alliance to replace the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is a mistake,” he added, noting that “This case is subjected to the constitution where the Article 61 of the constitution mentioned the standards for withdrawing confidence from a government or PM.”

“Those who attended in Najaf meeting do not represent their blocs except Sadr,” he confirmed.

“Those set a specific period for withdrawing confidence from Maliki should be opposition but some of them were participant in the government and INA,” he concluded.
