Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iran rejected the offer of the delegation of the European Union to Iran to decrease the uranium enrichment from 20% to 5% to reduce the international sanctions imposed against Iran.

The Iraqiya Satellite Channel quoted the Iranian delegation as saying “This issue is considered a red line for Iran,” assuring that “We refuse reducing the uranium enrichment from 20% to 5% to relief Iran from some of the international sanctions.”

Earlier, the meeting of 5+1 started in Baghdad on Wednesday noon to negotiate over the Iranian nuclear program.

International Atomic Energy Agency chief, Yukiya Amano, on last Tuesday, said that he expects Iran to sign an agreement “quite soon” to allow inspections of facilities suspected of being used in a covert nuclear-weapons program.

The delegation of the European Union announced that the negotiations with the Iranian side witnessed progress concerning its nuclear program.
