Mann rules out reaching final agreement during Baghdad 5+1 meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The delegation of the European Union ruled out possibility of reaching a final agreement over the Iranian nuclear program during the meeting which was held in Baghdad on Wednesday.

Michael Mann, the spokesman for EU foreign policy Chief, Catherine Ashton, stated to IraqiNews.com “We do not expect reaching final deal with Iran but we want to get settlements that satisfy the international community including Iran.”

“We are glad for what was announced by the International Atomic Energy Agency over reaching agreement with Iran but we call for timetable to implement this agreement,” he concluded.

Earlier, the meeting of 5+1 started in Baghdad on Wednesday noon to negotiate over the Iranian nuclear program.

International Atomic Energy Agency chief, Yukiya Amano, on last Tuesday, said that he expects Iran to sign an agreement “quite soon” to allow inspections of facilities suspected of being used in a covert nuclear-weapons program.

The delegation of the European Union announced that the negotiations with the Iranian side witnessed progress concerning its nuclear program.

The Iraqiya Satellite Channel quoted, Michael Mann, the spokesman for EU foreign policy Chief, Catherine Ashton, as saying “Iran showed flexibility during the meeting.”
