Hakim renewed his uphold for Iran’s right in possessing nuclear energy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim, during his meeting with the Iranian negotiating delegation for the (5+1) meeting, renewed his uphold for Iran’s right to possess nuclear energy. A statement by the SIIC, cited “Hakim received the Iranian negotiating delegation for (5+1) meeting which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad today, Wednesday, chaired by Saeed Jalili, the Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council, emphasizing on the depth of the relations between Iraq and Iran.” Hakim stressed the pivotal and vital role played by Iran in the regional issues and those of Islamic countries and renewed his uphold to Iran’s right in possessing the nuclear energy.” The statement added “For his part, Jalili referred to the essential role played by Hakim in leading Iraq to the positive phases that provide welfare and well being for the Iraqis which is reflected positively on the Iranian people,” congratulating al-Hakim for the renewal of electing him as a head of the SIIC. Jalili assured that holding the (5+1) meeting in Baghdad is an evidence for Iraq’s progress after its success in hosting the Arab Summit conference. He noted that “The (5+1) meeting will not be confined to the nuclear file but also will tackle important regional issues.”
