Sayhoud: Iraqi benefit not to be achieved by withdrawing confidence from government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohammed al-Sayhoud, of the State of Law Coalition stated “Withdrawing confidence from the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, will not achieve the benefit of the Iraqi people.”

He assured to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Withdrawing the confidence will not settle the current crisis, but it will create a new one because the new phase will require forming a new parliament and a new government and needs enough time.”

“The current crisis can be settled through the open meetings and the real dialogue by discussing the problems and find settlements for them,” he added, assuring that “Any meeting neglects one side will create a new crisis rather than settling the current one.”

“The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki called for an open meeting to settle the pending issues because the two-side meetings and the close meetings do not settle the disputes,” he concluded.

The political process witnesses complicated disputes between the Iraqiya Slate and the State of Law Coalition over not applying Erbil agreement and the council of the strategic policies.

The political leaders held a meeting on Saturday at the residence of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to discuss the political crisis after the end of the set time to Maliki to respond to the letter of Erbil meeting.
