Nusaiyf criticizes performance of Iraq committee to settle disputes with Kuwait

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusaiyf, of the Iraqiya Hurra bloc criticized the performance of the ministerial committee that discuses the settlement of the pending issues between Iraq and Kuwait.

In a press statement, received by IraqiNews.com on Monday, she stated “The committee did not adhere to the suggestions submitted by the parliament and the Council of Ministers before making any deal with Kuwait.”

“It is obvious that the committee holds its approval to any deal it hold in Iraq until the Kuwait parliament approves it which means that any deal with Iraq is well discussed in the Kuwaiti parliament, whereas the Iraqi committee did not inform the Legislative and Executive authorities about any deal that they conducted,” she added.

She stressed the necessity of “Informing the parliament and the CoMs about the details of the deals that the committee holds with the Kuwaiti side in order to study the further effects and preserve the Iraqi benefit.”
