Hakim: Forming government of political majority not to settle crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, assured “Forming a government of political majority will not participate in settling the political crisis.”

He stated in a press conference after being re-elected as the Head of the SIIC “The national meeting will result in settling the crisis because it involves all the issues that discussed by the recent meetings.”

“Forming the government of political majority will not solve the disputes because some parts of the Iraqis will be out of this government,” he added.

“The settlement could not be reached by holding meetings in the provinces rather in the parliament which represents all Iraqis,” he concluded.

Earlier, the General Political Committee of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council re-nominated, Ammar al-Hakim, as its Head.
