Maliki’s negligence for Article 140 to violate constitution

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Latif Mustafa, of Taghyeer bloc criticized the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, saying “Maliki negligence for the Article 140 is a violation for the constitution,” noting that “I sent question to the Maliki’s office over this Article without receiving answers.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The Committee of implementing Article 140 issued important decisions, submitting them to Maliki’s office since 2007 and 2008 but the office did not take the required procedures.”

“A lot of decisions are still on the shelves of the Council of Ministers,” he added.

“As a Parliament Member, I sent a question to Maliki over this issue in 2011 but I did not receive any answer, he mentioned.

“Neglecting answering the MPs’ questions by an executive official is to violate the constitution,” he concluded.
