Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ihsan al-Awadi, of the State of Law Coalition announced “The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, does not like to be nominated for the third term on the PM post and he does not depend on personal or political attitudes over early elections.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Iraqi people will determine whether they want Maliki for a third term or not,” noting that “Maliki does not depend on the opinions of some sides over holding the early elections which is totally opposing to what the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, stated that the early elections would be a chance to keep Maliki in his post.”

“The early elections can not be done at this time due to the disputes over the elections law drafts and the Iraqi people do not need the early elections due to the failure and the disappointment that they have faced,” he concluded.

Earlier, MP Hassan al-Sinaid of the State of Law Coalition pointed out that “The perfect settlement for the current political crisis is through dissolving the parliament and conducting early elections.”
