Plan to support farmers, encourage agricultural production in Kurdistan

Arbil-Plan ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Deputy agriculture minister in Kurdistan’s government said on Tuesday that his government has a plan to support farmers and to encourage the local agricultural production through establishing an agricultural bank in the region next year. “The Kurdish government will open an agricultural bank in 2009, which will give loans to farmers and support them and encourage the local production,” Azad Ezzudin Mulla Afandi told IraqiNews.com. “We have big investment projects because the government has allocated a big budget for the agriculture ministry to support farmers through providing them with vehicles to transport their products,” he said.
