Sharaa: Political blocs increase efforts to settle disputes
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Furat al-Shraa, of the Citizen bloc within the Iraqi National Alliance assured that the political process witnesses continuous efforts to settle the political crises and to start a new phase.
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “The movements of the blocs aim to settle the disputes because the current phase needs to conduct dialogue to settle all the bending issues.
“The politicians need to reduce their demands and deal in flexibility with each other,” he added, assuring that “The national meeting is not the solution but it establishes the base to settle the crises.”
Earlier, a meeting was held in Erbil which involved the President, Jalal Talabani, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, as well as the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to discuss the political crisis.
The participants in the meeting sent a letter, including nine items, to the Iraqi National Alliance requesting Maliki to apply them within fifteen days otherwise they will withdraw confidence from him.
