Talabani, Mutleg discuss impediments hinder political process

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, discussed the political updates, the impediments that hinder the political process and the relations among the blocs.

A Presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com cited “Both sides agreed that the national understanding and the serious dialogues are the means of for reaching satisfactory solutions.”

“Both sides stressed the importance of consolidating the exerted efforts to settle the disputes, improving mutual performance, supporting the State and achieving better political, governmental as well as parliamentary performance,” the statement concluded.

It is worth mentioning that since his arrival in Baghdad on last Thursday, Talabani met the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, the US Ambassador, James Jeffrey, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to discuss holding the upcoming national meeting which he called since the end of 2011.
