Iraq, Syria conclude contract over transporting electricity power

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity concluded a contract with its Syrian counterpart in the field of transporting the power within the project of the Eighth countries connection.

Spokesperson of the Ministry Musab al-Mudaris assured that “The contract is part of the agreement over exchanging power between Iraq and Syria after accomplishing the technical commitments by both sides in implementing the high tension (Qaim-Tayem) line and starting the experimental operating process of the line.”

The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity was represented for signing the contract by the Director General for Transporting Energy engineer Ghani Hussein while the Syrian side was represented by the Director General for Transporting Electricity Power engineer Mohammed Nasouh.
