Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Ameer Kassar, of Ahrar bloc described “The statements of MP, Sami al-Askari, of the State of Law Coalition against the Sadr Trend as not actual.”
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “These statements are not accepted because the visit of the Head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to Erbil does not have political implications,” noting that “Sadr’s visit comes out of his religious duty away from the political side.”
“Concerning withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, the Sadr Trend has no intention to do so,” he added.
“This issue is to be determined by the Iraqi National Alliance to which Maliki belongs,” he concluded.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, MP, Sami al-Askari, described Sadr’s visit to Erbil as “A wrong step.”
