IS source: SLC offers Mutleg to resume his post

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A source in the Iraqiya Slate stated that the State of Law Coalition is conducting several attempts to convince the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, to resume his post and attend the meetings of the Council of Ministers.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), the source stated “The Deputy Premier of the Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shihristani and the leader within the Dawa party, Abdul Halim al-Zihairi, visited Mutleg on Tuesday in order to convince him to resume his post, but he refused that. Then MPs, Ezzat al-Shabandar and Khalid al-Asadi, conducted a similar visit in the same day but without getting any response.”

“The PM, Nouri al-Maliki sent the First Deputy Speaker, Qusai al-Sihail and the leader within the White bloc, Ahmed al-Aribi, to Mutleg but he refused to resume his post until a change in the government is done,” the source added.

The source pointed out “The offer was to let Mutleg resume his post and all his merits to be brought back to him without any apologize from Maliki.”

“The aim behind offering Mutleg to resume his post is to make the leaders of the IS , Ayad Allawi, Osama al-Nijaifi and Rafa’a al-Essawi way from the political process and avoid the pressure on Maliki’s government,” the source concluded.”
