Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Minister of Education (Hameed Redha Babai) visited the religious authorities in Najaf province.
A source from Najaf province stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) Thursday “The Iranian Minister has visited the Religious Authorities, the Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani and Ayatollah Mohammed Saeed al-Hakim, during his visit to Najaf.”
“Babai discussed with the religious authorities the latest updates on the Iraqi arena and the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran as well the latest events in the region,” the source added, noting that “Then, the Iranian Minister visited the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).”
The source mentioned “Babai’s visit to the two religious authorities came after his visit to Najaf Governor Adnan al-Zurfi.”
In a press conference, the Iranian minister of Education stressed his country’s willingness to foster the bilateral relations most notably in the education and higher education fields.”
