Kaylani : No difference between National Meeting, blocs’ leaders meeting

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Jamal Al-Kilani of Iraqiya Slate (IS) assured that he is “not optimistic towards the invitation of the Kurdistani Alliance to hold a meeting for the leaders of political blocs in order to ease the political crisis in the country.”

He said in a statement to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “The meeting among leaders of political blocs will not change anything and there is no difference between a national meeting or the political blocs leaders’ meeting.”

The IS MP said “There is no difference between the two terms except if the IS gets guarantees concerning the implementation of Erbil convention and lifting of mines placed in the way the National Meeting represented by the case of Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi and the subject of the Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq.”

Kilani clarified that the meeting between leaders of political blocs will resolve an important issue because the members of the Preparatory Committee of the National Meeting are not authorized to search the files that will be discussed at the national meeting, in particular members of the State of Law Coalition.”

The Kurdistani Alliance’s MP Mohsen al-Sadoun has called for holding an expanded meeting for the three presidencies [the presidency and presidency of the parliament and prime minister] and the heads of parliamentary blocs to resolve all outstanding issues and end the crisis.
