MP calls to consider Summit success while holding national meeting

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “The success of Baghdad Summit must be considered in the national meeting that will be held next Thursday especially after witnessing the unified attitude of the Iraqi people and the political blocs to bring success for the Summit,” noting that “We call to have the same attitude to bring success to the upcoming meeting.”
“Unfortunately, we have heard some statements from some political blocs stating that they will not attend the national meeting until Erbil agreement is being applied,” he added, assuring that “This is strange issue where the Preparatory Committee of the meeting has set Erbil agreement in its agenda to be discussed in the meeting.”
“We believe that the Summit atmosphere has created a new political atmosphere among the political blocs which should be exploited to settle all the disputes and achieve one unified dialogue,” he concluded.
As the President, Jalal Talabani, decided, the political blocs will hold a meeting to discuss the political disputes especially between the State of Law Coalition and the Iraqiya Slate on next Thursday.
