Mass poisoning during wedding in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The Mosul educational hospital received on late Thursday thirty cases of persons who ate spoiled food in a wedding banquet in western Mosul , a medical source said on Friday. “30 persons were poisoned as they ate spoiled food in a wedding in Raas Jada region in western Mosul ,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “Ambulances rushed the poisoned cases to the hospital,” he added, noting that the cases, include four children and the groom. Mosul , the capital city of Ninewa , lies 405 km north of Baghdad . The original city of Mosul stands on the west bank of the Tigris River, opposite the ancient biblical city of Nineveh on the east bank, but the metropolitan area has now grown to encompass substantial areas on both banks, with five bridges linking the two sides.
