NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: The displaced and emigrants department has given the sum of 150 million Iraqi dinars to displaced Christian families from Mosul as of November 3, the department chief said on Tuesday. “Each displaced Christian family has received ID300,000 and still the ad hoc financial committee resuming its works to give more compensations,” Jawdat Ismail told IraqiNews.com. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, 405 km north of Baghdad, had witnessed since September an escalated wave of violence that targeted Iraqi Christians in the city, forcing more than 2,000 families to relocate to the city’s peripheries or other provinces.
