Nusayif warns of nonequivalent negotiations with Kuwait

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aliya Nusayif warned that “Kuwait might take advantage of any nonequivalent negotiations with Iraq to achieve its own benefits on account of the Iraqi National Interest.”

Nusayif said in press statement “Negotiations with Kuwait now will not be equivalent and it will be for the favor of Kuwait because Iraq does not have the right elements of negotiations, it only have requests.”

“Absence of the right negotiation mechanisms will put Iraq in a weak position in a time when Kuwait is trying all its efforts to achieve its own interest on account of the Iraqi interests which was proved by the history between the two countries,” Nusayif added.

Nusayif also said that “We must assure negotiations on the bases of equality and to assure fair negotiations that grant the rights of both sides.”
