Gunmen attack IPs’ checkpoint in Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Unidentified gunmen attacked a police checkpoint in Jalawla district of Diyala province on Monday morning.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The gunmen attacked the checkpoint, killing two elements and injuring four others,” noting that “The gunmen managed to flee.”

“The police forces blocked the attack area and conducted search operation seeking the gunmen,” the source added.

“The dead IPs’ bodies were sent to the morgue and the injured to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.

A series of bombings reverberated Diyala province on Monday morning.
