70 wanted persons arrested, explosives factories seized in Babel

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) Babel Police Department announced “arresting more than (70) wanted individuals and seized four factories for manufacturing Improvised Explosive Devices and car bombs in northern Babel.”

The Commander of Babel Police Directorate Major General Sabah al-Fatlawy stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com on Tuesday that ”A security force of Babel province conducted a raid- search operation in Buhayrat area and Jurf-il-Sakher area as well as the areas within Iskandariya district (60 KM) to the north of Babel province during the past two days,” noting that “The operation resulted in arresting (70) wanted persons and seizing four factories for manufacturing IEDs.”

He added that ”This operation will be followed by many operations depending on the intelligence information in order to eliminate the groups of what is so called (Islamic State of Iraq) and the Terrorist Qaeda Organization as well as the armed groups affiliated to them.”

He explained that ”This operation came as a part of the security campaigns under the new leadership of Babel Police after dismissing the former police commander in Babel Maj. Gen. Fadhel Raddad a month ago.” \
