Colonel’s house detonated in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) Unidentified gunmen detonated an officer’s house in Yathreb neighborhood within Balad district of southern Tikrit city the capital of Salah-il-Din province.

Security source mentioned ton IraqiNews.com on Tuesday that ”The gunmen detonated the house of a colonel of the Federal Police,” noting that “The explosion caused huge material damage to the house without leaving any human casualties.”

The source added “The Colonel was out of his house during the explosion time.”

The source continued saying that ”The security forces cordoned the explosion scene off and launched an investigation to figure out the circumstances of the incident.” \
