Urgent – Car bomb, IED explode in Karbala

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) Three civilians were killed, and 33 others were injured when a car bomb and an Improvised Explosive Device exploded near a vegetable selling place at the entrance of Karbala province on Tuesday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “This count for the casualties is initial,” noting that “The security forces cordoned the explosion area and transferred the injured people to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.

It is worth mentioning that Karbala Police Department announced launching security preparations in the province that will witness during the upcoming days the arrival of millions of pilgrims to commemorate the Anniversary of Imam al-Mahdi’s birthday.
