Former IA officer killed in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An officer of the former Iraqi Army was assassinated in Qayara area (60 KM) to the south of Mosul city.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com on Friday that “Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting an officer of the former Iraqi Army, who is a prominent figure of Jobouri tribe, killing him immediately at the garden of his house.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack while the security forces started looking for the attackers.” \
