Mayor killed, civilian wounded in Fallujah

Anbar, Ramadi (IraqiNews.com) A mayor was killed and civilian was wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device IED exploded in southern Fallujah.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The IED, which was emplaced on roadside in Shuhada’a area of southern Fallujah of eastern Ramadi city, exploded targeting the mayor of the area ,” noting that “The explosion resulted in killing the mayor and wounding a civilian was accompanying him.”

The source added “The police transported the dead body of the mayor to the morgue and the wounded civilian to the hospital for treatment.” \
