IED goes off in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) An Improvised Explosive Device IED exploded, targeting the Commander of the Iraqi Army Fourth Division while he was visiting Mashed village in Shurqat district of northern Tikrit city.

Security source reported to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The IED exploded in coincidence with the end of the Commander visit.”

The source added “The security forces closed all the roads that lead to the explosion scene,” noting that “The source did not mention the material damages and human casualties that resulted from the explosion.” \
