4 terrorists netted in Karbala

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The Investigation and Intelligence Directorate in cooperation with the police patrols of Karbala province managed to arrest four wanted individuals according to the article (4) of Anti- Terrorism law who are affiliate to the terrorist organization (Islamic State of Iraq).

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com on Sunday that “The Directorate received information concerning presence of wanted individuals for the Karbala Investigation Court, from Jurf-il-Sakhar residents, who are affiliated to what is called the (Islamic Army) in the holy province of Karbala.”

The source added “The Intelligence Department instructed all the patrols in cooperation with the Karbala police forces to collect information about the location of the suspects,” noting that “The forces managed to determine their location which is on Naser neighborhood in a house which was recently rented by their terrorist group.”

The source pointed out that “According to the initial investigation two of the detainees are involved in the recent blasts which took place in Karbala province,” stressing that “All the detainees will be under investigation until the date of the trial.”

The source continued saying that “The patrols of Karbala investigation and Intelligence Department managed to seize a weapons cache that belongs to the remains of the war in (Um-il-Khanazer) area,” noting that “The Explosive Ordinance Disposal Experts Unit lifted some non exploded bombs since it is represent real threat for the citizens.”
