Policeman killed in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A policeman was killed due to an armed attack in Faruq area of central Mosul, the capital of Nineveh province.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com on Friday that “Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting the policeman, killing him immediately near his house,” noting that “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack.”

The source added “The victim was working as a policeman on Zuhur police station and he was enjoying his vacation at the attack time,” noting that “The police forces transported the dead body of the policeman to the morgue and launched an investigation over the incident.” \
