Urgent – Deputy Head of Nineveh PC attacked

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) An Improvised Explosive Device exploded targeting the motorcade of the Deputy Head of Nineveh Provincial Council, Dildar Zebari, near Sinhareeb Bridge in eastern Mosul on last Friday night.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The IED explosion resulted in killing a woman and injuring six others from Zebari’s family in addition to two others among his gaurds.”

“Targeting Zebari come a day after Hadba Slate called to withdraw confidence from him,” the source added, assuring that “Zebari was not in the motorcade at the explosion time.”

“A security forces hurried to the explosion vicinity and transferred the injured to the hospital for treatment and the dead to the morgue,” the source concluded.
