17 nabbed in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Kirkuk detained 17 suspects in southwestern Kirkuk on Monday, a security source said. “Forces from the Emergency Police Department on Monday arrested 17 suspected persons in a search raid conducted in the 1 Hozayran neighborhood, southwestern Kirkuk,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “A number of the detainees had resided in the area unofficially,” the source said, noting two unlicensed vehicles were seized during the raid. The oil-rich city of Kirkuk lies 250 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P) 1
