2 blasts kill 3, injure 19 in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Three persons were killed and 19 others were wounded in two separate explosions in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Friday, a police source said. “An improvised explosive device went off near a police checkpoint in the Steen street in al-Doura region in southern Baghdad, killing three people and injuring 15, including three policemen,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The blast caused severe material damage to a number of nearby police vehicles,” he added. The same source said “another bomb exploded targeting an Iraqi army vehicle patrol in al-Mansour region in western Baghdad , injuring four soldiers.” SH (P) 1
