Maysan Oil Co.: 70,000 oil barrels per day pumped from Halfaya oil fields
Maysan (IraqiNews.com) Maysan Oil Company announced starting pumping 70,000 oil barrels per day from Halfaya oil field of eastern Maysan province. The Director General of the Company, Ali Marej said “Today witnessed pumping 70,000 oil barrel, per day across the line of Halfaya of eastern the province which is being implemented by the Chinese (Petro China) Company that is combined with the French (TITLE) Company and Malaysian (PETRONAS) Company.” “Within the 2nd oil licenses round, held by the Ministry of Oil, the earlier mentioned companies started digging 26 oil wells in Halfaya fields,” he added, noting that “22 of them were linked to the carrier line.” “The total production capacity of Maysan Oil Co. reached 170,000 barrel per day,” the Company’s Director mentioned. Marej referred that “When completing the work in the fields of Bazargan and Abu Gharab, the production capacity will approach 250-300 thousand barrel per day by next July.”
