Babel Hotel referred for investment

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) The Babel Provincial Council decided to refer Babel Tourist Hotel for investment.

The member of Babel PC, Mazen Abdul Karim, reported in statement to IraqiNews.com on Thursday that ”The provincial council of Babel Province agreed with the Ministry of Tourism to refer the hotel for the investment sector.”

He added that ”The reason behind this resolution is great effectiveness of the hotel in that area,” noting that “The hotel was occupied by the USA troops as a headquarter since 2003 and later was handed over to Iraq two years ago.”

Abdul Karim pointed out that ”The acts of construction and maintenance of the hotel will be done by the side who will invest in the hotel,” stressing that ”The aim of investing in the hotel is to make it suitable to host official delegations and holding conferences.”

The Local Government in Babel province gave two months duration for the Ministry of Tourism to take final decision concerning the hotel.
